By extending the master bathroom into an underutilized second floor terrace, designer David Sharbani of Elite Kitchen & Bath in Manhasset, NY was able to enlarge the bathroom to almost twice its original size, creating enough space to produce the home spa of the clients’ dreams. Top of the clients’ wish list was a zero-clearance frameless recessed steam shower with a bench long enough to lay on, inspired by their love of the steam room at the gym. Hand-laid 4’x8′ shower tiles create the sleek minimalist look the clients craved, while a newly enlarged window bathes the space in natural light for a zen-like experience. Additional luxury touches include a bidet toilet seat, Italian high-gloss vanity and linen closet, heated floors and frameless mirrors.
