ORLANDO, FL — The National Kitchen & Bath Association has honored the winners of its Design + Industry Awards, an annual competition that honors achievements in kitchen, bath, showroom, and student design.
The awards were presented during ceremonies in conjunction with the NKBA-owned 2022 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando. The program was sponsored by Beko appliances, 2020 Design Software, and Home Depot.
Among the competition’s winners were:
n Best Overall Kitchen: Jonas Carnemark, CKD, CLIPP, CR, owner and founder, Konst Kitchen Interior Design.
n Best Overall Bath: Gina D’Amore Bauerle, partner and interior Designer at D’Amore Interiors.
n Best Contemporary Kitchen, Large (250 sq. ft and over): First Place, Jonas Carnemark, CKD, CLIPP, CR, owner and founder, Konst Kitchen Interior Design; Second Place, Kristin Petro, owner, Kristin Petro Interiors; Third Place, Amir Ilin, president, Küche+Cucina.
n Best Contemporary Kitchen, Small (under 250 sq. ft.): First Place, Shai Arviv, CEO and Chief Designer, Decori Kitchens; Second Place, Andrew Mikhael, owner, Andrew Mikhael Architect; Third Place, Doug Walter, CMKBD, owner, Doug Walter Architects/co-designer Katy Skye Booream, Katy Skye Interiors.

Also recognized were the winners of the 2022 Student Design Competition, sponsored by Fisher & Paykel. First place in the bath category was awarded to Fatimah Satya, Mt. San Antonio College. First place in kitchens went to Rania Bouza, Mt. San Antonio College.
In addition, Innovative Showroom Awards were presented to Design Galleria Kitchen & Bath Studio, Nashville, TN; Middleby Residential Dallas Showroom, Dallas, TX; Fiandre and The Stone Collection.
The NKBA’s annual Chairman’s Award was presented to Kohler Kitchen and Bath North America President Shawn Oldenhoff.
