Stacy Garcia, founder of KBtribechat in Valley Center, CA, is a social media pioneer. Following her own vision, Garcia created KBtribechat (@kbtribechat) – a popular kitchen and bath industry Twitter chat – 10 years ago when Twitter was just a few years old.
But Garcia is no newcomer to the kitchen and bath industry. After studying design and graduating with a bachelor’s degree, she spent 42 years as a kitchen designer. She and her husband are owners of a custom cabinet shop, Garcia Cabinetmakers, which they started in 1978.
KBtribechat has grown into a popular and influential weekly discussion. Garcia produces the weekly Twitter discussions, which brings the industry together to have in-depth discussions on important topics. The topics are wide-ranging and include kitchen and bathroom design, social media, marketing and trends, and they are often hosted by members in their area of expertise.
KBtribechat not only connects industry professionals, but provides focus group content. Garcia also maintains an official blog to keep industry members informed of the latest happenings.
