Moody Simplicity

This powder room, created by Nar Bustamante, utilizes rounded shapes and angles to create a simple yet eye-catching and moody aesthetic. Although the project was subject to COVID-related disruptions and delays, the design team soldiered on to craft a space with geometric appeal.
The vanity features a Dekton countertop integrated into the back wall, topped with a Valdama wash basin paired with an oil-rubbed bronze Newport Brass faucet. The vanity, by Crystal Cabinet Works, is cherry with a natural stain and provides discreet single-drawer storage.
Both the vanity and the toilet are floated to maximize the available square footage in the small powder room, while the back-lit round mirror creates the impression of a rising sun. Walls in an Iron Ore shade contrast strikingly with a continuation of the wood flooring that flows up the back wall.
